The Dave's Picks for the Second Round:

1. Ravens (-4) over Colts. Ravens were the best team the Saints played all year long and McNair was better than he ever was at Tennessee. My $$ says McNair leads the team to a Super Bowl victory and retires, with Favre, to Mississippi where they begin racing each other on tractors every Sunday. Peyton will start blaming various teammates in the second quarter and blow his stack, Jim Mora Sr.-style, in the post-game.

2. Eagles (+5) over Saints. I think the Saints will play tight and that Andy Reid, who has a ton of playoff experience, will out-coach Payton. (Or at least that's what I'm willing to put in writing so I don't jinx one of the teams playing in this game).

3. Seahawks (-8.5!!!) over Bears. Any team quarterbacked by Rex Grossman shouldn't be favored by more than a TD in any game against a good team. Bears got lucky with a matchup against a soft as warm butter Seahawks team, but this seems like a bunch of points against a veteran team like the cheese-hawks.

4. Pats (+5) over Chargers. I have no idea in this game. Merriman will probably roid rage and take out Brady in the first quarter, Rivers led the NC State program to new heights while there, and Ladanian Tomlinson is pretty much the best player I've ever seen. All that said, it's tough to not take the points, Brady and Belichick against Marty and his well-deserved reputation for totally locking up in the playoffs.

My picks:

Ravens. "I didn't kill no muthaf***in' lion!!"

Saints. Dave, there is no way the Saints can lose this game. It is a sure thing. Can't miss.

Seahawks. The ridiculous spread and the complete unpredictability of the Sex Cannon give the Seahawks the slight edge.

Chargers. If Schottenheimer can't win a home game in the playoffs with LT, he should just retire.
