The Official Odds for "Picks in a Box", the 2007 Playoff Gambling Challenge

Do you really want to know what's in that box? Relax, The Lon is nowhere around. It's just the picks!

Here are the odds as of today, January 4th, 2007- Home team in bold.

Colts -7 over the Chiefs

Seahawks -3 over the Cowboys

Patriots -8.5 over the J-E-T-S!!!

Eagles -7 over the Giants

So, there you have it. The lines may move, but for the sake of our competition, where everyone can be on the same page, we will use these. Feel free to post your picks in the comments or email them to The Kid or The Lon. All picks must be registered before kickoff.

My picks:

1. Giants cover in a loss to the Eagles. Eagles can't stop the run and Garcia makes mistakes when pressured. Could be, however, that Garcia is being coached better than ever before (consider his former coaches), and will lead the hottest team to a Super Bowl victory like last year's Steelers. Westbrook will be the difference.

2. Seahawks over 'boys. Homefield advantage plus I think Alexander's starting to get into playing shape. Boys are dysfunctional.

3. Pats over Jets. Tough call. Gut says Pats are better and have been resting Maroney for the playoffs.

4. Colts over Chiefs. I'm guessing Manning throws 3 TDs in the first quarter.

I am taking all the dogs and all the points.

No insightful analysis on the matchups here. All I know is:

The Giants need to bench Eli and put in Jared Lorenzen! WHOOOHOO!!!
